A huge pothole has appeared on the main road in the Colombo-Vellawatta area.

It is said that this pothole appeared due to the collapse of the road.

Due to this, the area has been closed for security purposes and there is a slight traffic jam.

Due to this, the road leading from Vellavatha area is limited to one lane only.

According to this, the police have advised drivers traveling from Galle to Colombo to enter the Coastal Road via Lily Avenue branch road and travel towards Colombo.

It is worth noting that drivers traveling from Colombo to Galle can travel through Velawatha as usual.
