WWE superstar AJ Styles could be heading back to TNA Wrestling as early as 2026, according to veteran wrestler Matt Hardy. The prediction, made during a segment on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, suggests Styles might compete outside of WWE before retiring.
Hardy Predicts TNA Return for Styles
Matt Hardy is “pretty certain” AJ Styles will wrestle a match in TNA Wrestling before the end of his career.
“I could see that… I think he’ll end up wrestling a match in TNA before it’s all said and done, pretty certain of it,” Hardy stated. “I think AJ will wrestle a match outside of WWE at TNA.”
Loyalty to WWE Remains Strong
While forecasting a potential TNA appearance, Hardy emphasized styles’ current dedication to WWE. He doesn’t anticipate Styles jumping to rival promotion AEW, but believes the existing collaboration between WWE and TNA could facilitate a return to the promotion where his career took off.
“I don’t think if he leaves WWE, though, I don’t think he will go to AEW,” Hardy explained. “I think he’s kind of like, I think he’s kind of a very WWE loyal dude at the stage of the game… But I don’t know. You never say never in pro wrestling, anything could change, and a lot of times, money talks big.”
