BOLZANO. It’s not official yet, but the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella could return to Alto Adige for the summer holidays, choosing once again Dobbiaco for his break from the Quirinale.
The head of state is expected in the next few days Air Force Detachment which has already hosted him.
Mattarella returned to Dobbiaco last summer after a six-year break. As is now tradition, it will be a strictly private stay.
No official meetings are planned therefore, but there may be private visits by local authorities. The president’s days pass peacefully between his residence in the air force facility and some walks.
Last summer, starting from the tourist resort of Alta Val Pusteria, the president went on excursions and trips in the area, but not only, also reaching Lake Braies.
His outings are accompanied by warm greetings and requests for photographs from the hikers he meets.
