Colo Colo Strengthens Defense with New Signings

Colo Colo announced two key signings on August 8th, bolstering their defense with the arrival of experienced left back Cristian Riquelme and promising young full-back Mauricio Isla.
The club confirmed the signing of Riquelme, who joins from Everton and is expected to add depth and experience to their under-21 squad in the upcoming National Tournament.
The arrival of Isla was officially announced earlier in the day. The talented full-back joins from the Chilean national team and is expected to provide immediate competition and stability to the Colo Colo backline.
“I have a feeling of satisfaction, I think we did a good job,” Colo Colo president Aníbal Mosa said. “From the moment we set our priorities, we went for the best players we could have.”
The club also confirmed the closure of their transfer window for the second half of the tournament, the regional finals of the Copa Chile, and the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores.
