Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby is out for the remainder of the season after being placed on reserve/injured list Saturday, a move that underscores the team’s struggles and potentially impacts their draft positioning.
The Raiders reportedly informed Crosby of the decision Friday, acknowledging a knee injury that has bothered him as October.Team officials persistent it was in his best interest to sideline him, despite his fervent desire to continue playing.
“I don’t give a (expletive) about a pick,to be honest,” Crosby said earlier this week. “I don’t play for that. That’s not my job.My job is to be the best defensive end in the world. Being a great leader, being an influence.”
The Giants are also facing injury challenges, with young tight end Theo Johnson ruled out Saturday due to an illness. All-Pro tackle Andrew Thomas and center John Michael Schmitz Jr. will also not travel with the team.
