Hyderabad: Police clean chit to actor Arjun Sarja in MeToo movement case Police said the report was submitted to the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court. The actress, who is active in South Indian films, has come out with allegations against Arjun.
The actress had alleged that Arjun had misbehaved during the shooting of the film ‘Vismaya’. The actress shared this on social media in 2018. The actress played the role of Arjun’s wife in the film. Later, the Cubbon Park police registered a case and started an investigation. The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce had intervened in the matter and tried to resolve the issue.
The Me Too Movement was an event that shook the entire Indian film industry. Many actresses have come out with revelations about the problems they are facing. The launch of the ‘Me Too’ campaign comes in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. It was prompted by a revelation made on October 5, 2017 by actress Ashley Jude Weinstein through the New York Times.
