Speaker Dr. Khalil Rahman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh appointed to Canada, paid a courtesy call on Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury. Courtesy visit at his office at Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on Monday (February 12).
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including bilateral friendly relations, business and trade, parliamentary alliance group.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said that Canada and Bangladesh have friendly relations. The governments of the two countries are working to increase cooperation in various sectors including trade.
Speaker said Canada-Bangladesh friendly relations can be enhanced through mutual visit exchange of Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Khalil Rahman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh appointed to Canada, said that the export of products from Bangladesh to Canada has increased more than any other time.
At this time, he informed the speaker about bringing back Noor Chowdhury, the self-confessed murderer of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to Bangladesh.
