jpnn.comJAKARTA – PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri chaired a coordination meeting which was attended by central administrators, regional heads and deputy regional heads and main cadres.
The meeting was held behind closed doors at the Party School Building in Lenteng Agung, Central Jakarta, on Friday (26/4).
A number of PDIP DPP administrators were present, such as Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, Deputy Treasurer Rudianto Tjen and DPP Chairmen such as Komaruddin Watubun, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Bambang Wuryanto, Ahmad Basarah, Wuryanti Sukamdani, Rokhmin Dahuri, and Ribka Tjiptaning.
Regional heads who attended were regents/deputy regents, mayors/deputy mayors, and governors/deputy governors from all over Indonesia. The meeting participants numbered almost 200 people.
“I ask that they be gathered as soon as possible to go to the regional elections to hold this meeting,” said Megawati Soekarnoputri at the opening of the meeting.
“My enthusiasm, our enthusiasm will never fade, because we work for the nation and state,” he stressed.
Hasto Kristiyanto said that the coordination meeting was held amidst the strengthening movement to save democracy and reform due to the intimidation that occurred.
On Megawati’s orders, the process of democratic life must continue, and therefore the PDIP General Chair ordered that today’s meeting be held.
