Melek A., a resident of Artuklu district, hadn’t returned home on January 3, prompting her family to file a missing person report with the police on January 4 after being unable to reach her.Police teams quickly launched a search, ultimately locating her in the neighboring province of Şanlıurfa and returning her to Mardin.
SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATION
Following the missing person report,a dedicated team was established within the Mardin Provincial Police department to investigate the disappearance of MA (17). according to a statement released by the Governorship, “Technical and field studies were meticulously carried out by the special team…As a result of the studies, MA was found in Şanlıurfa province by our police teams and brought to our city, and the judicial and administrative process on the subject continues.” Authorities expressed gratitude for the dedication and thoroughness demonstrated by the Mardin Provincial Police Department and the special team in locating MA.
