RIT Men’s Swimming & Diving Team Achieves Records Despite Loss to Geneseo

RIT’s men’s swimming and diving team delivered a series of extraordinary performances, highlighted by multiple record-breaking achievements, but ultimately fell to the No. 15-ranked Geneseo Knights 200-153 in a hard-fought two-day dual meet. The No. 25-ranked Tigers showcased their talent with two school-record diving scores and two pool records, demonstrating a competitive spirit despite the overall result.
Record-Breaking Performances Highlight RIT’s strength
Junior Luke Albanese spearheaded the record-breaking efforts in diving,setting new program standards in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Albanese scored a remarkable 561.65 in the 1-meter dive and 601.50 in the 3-meter dive, establishing himself as a dominant force in the sport.
