‘Meppadiyan’, directed by newcomer Vishnu Mohan and starring Unni Mukundan, will be released on Friday. Meppadiyan, Unni Mukundan’s entry into production, will be screened in 172 screens in Kerala. Produced under the banner of Unni Mukundan Films, the film will be released by Goodwill Entertainments. After a gap of three years, a movie starring Unni is coming to the theaters.
If Unni Mukundan’s action-oriented films have captured the attention of the audience, then Meppadiyan is a different character and film. Unni had taken a break from other film activities to get a physical makeover for the character of Jayakrishnan. The heroine of the film is Anju Kurian. Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, Indrans, Kottayam Ramesh, Nisha Sarang, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Kalabhavan Shajon, Aparna Janardhanan, Jordi Poonjar, Kundara Johnny, Major Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Pauly Wilson, Krishna Pradas, Chitra and Manorama Valiya are also in the cast.
