Mercedes-Benz has started testing ChatGPT in cars to answer questions while driving. About it reported company press office.
The generative language model is integrated into the MBUX voice assistant. The technology is implemented through an Azure service from Microsoft.
A voice assistant using ChatGPT will be able to tell the driver about the weather and sports, as well as answer various questions and control vehicle functions. You can activate MBUX with the phrase “Hey, Mercedes” (“Hi, Mercedes.” – “Vedomosti”).
The brand declares complete confidentiality of dialogues with the voice assistant. Customer data is anonymized before being sent to Mercedes-Benz servers.
Testing began June 16, 2023 for 900,000 vehicles in the US.
