Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Katarina Bjorlin Hansen. Dmitry Gvindadze, head of EBRD’s Armenian office, was also present at the meeting.
Welcoming the guests, the Deputy Prime Minister presented the situation created in the country as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan, noting the Government’s efforts to eliminate the negative socio-economic consequences.
During the meeting, the interlocutors emphasized on both sides the support of the EBRD to the private sector and the activation of various financial instruments in Armenia, which are aimed at the development of a number of sectors, including the SME sector, alternative energy, etc.
Thoughts were exchanged on the need for the development of the capital market and the prerequisites for it.
During the meeting, the progress of jointly implemented projects was also discussed, as well as the prospective directions of cooperation development.
