The wife of Michael Duarte, a popular food influencer, has issued a poignant statement following his death, concurrently honoring his memory and condemning the spread of misinformation surrounding the tragic event.
Jess Duarte released a statement to TMZ on thursday, November 13, 2025, expressing her struggle to process the loss and her decision to share stories about her husband – both his public persona and his life as a husband, father, and friend. “I’ve struggled with what to do since his passing, so I’m doing what feels right… sharing his stories. Whether they’re about his content or Mike as the husband, daddy and friend to all,” she stated.

Authorities in Texas responded to a 911 call on November 12, 2025, regarding a man reportedly acting erratically with a knife. According to the sheriff’s office, Duarte allegedly confronted a deputy and then charged at her while shouting, “I’m going to kill you,” prompting the deputy to discharge her firearm twice. duarte was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
