Michel Delebarre, former socialist minister, right arm of Pierre Mauroy, deputy and mayor of Dunkirk for twenty-five years, is dead, we learned on Saturday April 9 from the mayors of Dunkirk and Lille. He was 75 years old.

The socialist mayor of Lille, Martine Aubry, confirmed the death:

Mayor of Dunkirk from 1989 to 2014, Mr. Delebarre had also been seven times minister, during the two seven years of François Mitterrand.
