Michigan Wolverines win 2023 College Football Playoff title
Michigan’s football’s season was full of tumult and chaos, but that did not stop the Wolverines from claiming victory and the 2023 national championship. The team ran over Washington 34-13 on Monday night’s College Football Playoff title game at NRG Stadium in Houston.
This marks Michigan’s first national title since 1997, with a perfect season record of 15-0. The Wolverines’ ground game was a standout, with 303 yards and four scores. Donovan Edwards was instrumental in securing the title, running for over 100 yards and two scores.
Michigan’s defense also stepped up, holding one of the nation’s most potent attacks to just 46 yards and forcing a momentum-changing turnover on the first play of the second half.
Coach Jim Harbaugh spoke out about the team’s performance, declaring that all the off-the-field issues were behind them and they were focused on winning each game.
