The American corporation Microsoft started ban those users of Xbox Series X/S consoles who use third-party emulators. For those using emulators, an account blocking for 15 days is provided.
Microsoft has been cracking down on emulators on Xbox consoles since April 2023, shutting down the ability to run core emulators. Then the decisions were associated with the position of Nintendo, which repeatedly asked Microsoft about it. Xbox console users found a way out and began to run emulators not from the Xbox Series X / S user mode, but from the developer mode. According to some users, Microsoft banned them already at the stage of downloading the emulator distribution.
Microsoft previously announced it would replace its Xbox Live Gold subscription with Game Pass Core in September, as well as signing an agreement with Sony to bring Call of Duty games to PlayStation consoles.
