Microsoft is rolling out an update to the Xbox app for iOS and Android that includes a new social sharing feature, according to an engadged report.
Players will be able to share screenshots, gameplay clips, and achievements with their friends and others as Instagram or Snapchat-style stories, and you’ll be able to reply to others’ stories with a reaction or message as well.
You’ll find the stories on the app’s home screen. To share a clip, screenshot, or achievement, access the channel, tap the plus sign on your player tag and choose what you want to post from the gallery, and you’ll be able to add a comment before sharing your story.
And while Instagram and Snapchat stories usually disappear after 24 hours, Xbox Stories will be available for 72 hours, which means that your friends are more likely to see your updates, as long as they can distance themselves from the new Halo Infinite season long enough.
Another new feature for Xbox consoles as part of the May update, Microsoft calls Quality of Service (QoS) tags, says it’s a way to prioritize “latency-sensitive outbound network traffic such as group chat, console streaming, and multiplayer.”
The company says this feature can help preserve your gaming experience amid connectivity issues on crowded networks.
