The 65th edition of The Caribbean Series was inaugurated this Thursday, February 2 at the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium in Caracaslocated in La Rinconada, where more than 30,000 people gathered to enjoy the sporting event.

The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and the Simón Bolívar National Choir accompanied Oscar D’León in the welcome of this Caribbean classic, which will be held between February 2 and 10.
One of the figures present at the stadium was the Major League Baseball (MLB) player Miguel Cabrera. Also present were Nicolás Maduro, leader of the regime in Venezuela, his wife, Cilia Flores, and María Gabriela Chávez, daughter of the late former president Hugo Chávez.
