Indianapolis native Mike Epps is keeping audiences laughing, with his recent stand-up special, “Mike Epps: Delusional,” proving to be a major draw for Netflix subscribers. As of Monday, Feb. 2, the special holds the third spot on Netflix’s list of most popular shows, after initially debuting as the second most popular at the end of January. The special, filmed at Yaamava’ Resort and Casino in Highland, California, premiered on Jan. 27.

“Delusional” marks Epps’ fifth stand-up special for Netflix, building on a successful run that includes:

‘The Upshaws’ Wraps Up
Epps’ presence on Netflix extends beyond stand-up. The final season of “The Upshaws,” a sitcom set in Indianapolis, premiered on the streaming service on Jan. 15. The show stars Epps alongside Kim Fields and Wanda Sykes.

The series has garnered recognition from the NAACP, receiving a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series in the 57th NAACP Image Awards. Epps is nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series, while Wanda Sykes, also a co-creator of the show, is up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
