My goal has always been to write 30 books before my time runs out. I’m already close to finishing my tenth, and making progress on number eleven.
This new book is the third in the Father of Mine series, picking up directly where Son of Mine left off.
I started writing on my dad’s birthday. It was late Friday night when I typed the first sentence: "I didn’t know how many people I’d just killed.” Then another. And another. Before I knew it, the words were flowing, like pulling a thread from a sweater—without unraveling the entire garment.
About six weeks later, I’ve written over 30,000 words, feeling good about the direction, yet unsure where the story will ultimately lead. I’ll just keep following that thread.
In the meantime, you can find Father of Mine on Amazon for only $3.99 and Son of Mine for $4.99. Both are available in print for $14.99.
Both books have received positive reviews from Kirkus Reviews.
They described Son of Mine as a "fast-paced mob-family saga with compelling characters, great dialogue, and hardboiled vengeance," which accurately sums up the entire series.
And the first 30,000 words of the next installment definitely fit the bill.
