The doctor, who also met today Giorgia Meloni, received the call from Silvio Berlusconi who thus gave his consent to the ticket with the former mayor of the Lombard capital Gabriele Albertini. In this way, Bernard has already had talks with all the leaders of the coalition. “He made an excellent impression on me, of great seriousness and great humanity”, said the leader of the Brothers of Italy who, however, on the hypothesis of the ticket was more cautious: that of Gabriele Albertini as deputy mayor “is definitely an option on the table, but I think we have to start with the candidate for mayor before talking about the candidate for deputy mayor, ”he said. Everything is ready, therefore, for the formalization of the candidacy that could arrive tomorrow, when a center-right summit will be held.
The leader of FdI goes further: “I have always been sure that Milan was contestable. The fact of enjoying an excellent press ”for Sala“ does not necessarily mean also enjoying the consent of the citizens ”. The search for the center-right candidate for mayor therefore seems to have ended. On the city administered by Giuseppe Sala, who has been on the pitch for some time now in the hunt for an encore, will focus the coalition summit, after a series of revolving doors with several names that have entered and left the scene in recent weeks, from Oscar di Montigny ad Andrea Farinet passing through Alberto Rasia from the Polo and Gabriele Albertini.
Obviously, on Bernardo’s candidacy there is also the green light of the League and of Matteo Salvini, first sponsor of the doctor. The match of the Lombard capital, on which the last word will be up to the leader of the Carroccio, enter the game of joints with Bologna e Naples. Time is running out and, three months before the elections, the coalition leaders will have to unravel the last knots to launch the election campaign in all big cities. And also Maurizio Lupi, leader of We with Italy, who, however, does not go down a possible ticket with Albertini, opens more than a glimmer: “I know Luca Bernardo. He is an excellent pediatrician, he is an excellent department director of the Fatebenefratelli department. So, from the point of view of its authority in the profession it does. We will of course discuss about him as regards the fact that he is a candidate for mayor, but I have no objection ”.
