Millie Bobby Brown: Why She Missed ‘Stranger Things’ Reunion

Millie Bobby Brown Misses ‘Stranger Things’ Finale Viewing Due to Shoulder Injury

A recent shoulder injury kept Millie Bobby Brown from joining her castmates at a viewing of the final chapter of Stranger Things in New York City on Friday, December 26. The celebrated series, known for its blend of horror, suspense, and drama, concluded its run with a gathering of the core actors, though the absence of its lead was keenly felt.

The actress, who rose to prominence portraying Eleven over the past decade, remained at home while colleagues Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Charlie Heaton, and Jamie Campbell Bower attended the event at the Paris Theater. Despite her physical absence, a source confirmed to People magazine that Brown “got a link to see it at the same time” as her fellow cast members.

This isn’t the first time Brown’s injury has impacted promotional events for the final season. On December 15, 2025, she was scheduled to appear alongside Noah Schnapp on Good Morning America to discuss the show’s conclusion. Instead, Brown appeared in a pre-recorded video explaining her inability to attend. “Hello everyone in GMA,” she stated, visibly wearing a sling on her left arm, “I am very sorry that I could not be there with you. I fell.”

Schnapp, during the same interview, expressed his own anticipation for the finale, revealing plans to “rent a theater and watch it as a cast together” to share the experience with all his co-stars.

Recurring Absence Signals Severity of Injury

Brown’s absence was also noted at a subsequent event held at the Paley Center, where she did not participate in promotional activities for the final season. David Harbour was also unable to attend that event. According to a source at the Paley Center, “Unfortunately, due to a recent injury, Millie can no longer attend the red carpet or the debate.”

The Netflix star, boasting nearly 70 million social media followers and having recently become a mother to her child with Jake Bongiovi at the end of the summer of last year, has evidently sustained an injury that has significantly limited her public appearances during the culmination of the Ross Duffer and Matt Duffer production.

The extent of Brown’s injury remains undisclosed, but her repeated absences suggest a recovery process that requires continued rest and rehabilitation.
