Local photographer Samer Ghani will be releasing his novel photo book, Memories of a Streetcat, a visual chronicle of the Milwaukee music scene. Ghani, who also serves as Vice President of Cactus+, has spent the last decade documenting the city’s artists, including Klassik, NilexNile, Soul Low, and Sista Strings. He recently discussed his work on a DJ Takeover segment, where host Carolann Grzybowski highlighted his dedication to capturing the energy of live performances. Described as #vanlife pros, Twen brings a dynamic and energetic stage presence, evident in their numerous music videos. They’ll be performing songs from their latest album, Fate Euphoric, a dense and harmony-laden work that showcases their signature riff-driven style. Claire’s “Calm Shredding” at Cactus Club
Thursday night offers a different vibe at Cactus Club with Official Claire, a Chicago-based singer-songwriter known for her unique blend of serenity and grit. Claire’s music draws comparisons to artists like Mazzy Star and Ani DiFranco, combining delicate melodies with distortion pedals and witty lyricism.
