Berlin – Netflix is giving the green light to a third season of its hit German series “Achtsam Morden,” confirming the show’s continued success and solidifying its place as a popular choice for streaming audiences.The proclamation came January 31, 2026, at 4:07 p.m. CET.

The news was revealed during Netflix’s “What Next?” event, where Tom Schilling and peter Jordan offered exclusive previews of the upcoming second season to an audience of over 300 attendees. The first season of “Achtsam Morden” quickly rose to prominence, reaching number one in Netflix’s Global Top 10 and earning accolades including the German Television Prize and the German comedy Prize.

Tom Schilling Returns as Björn Diemel

Season two finds criminal defense attorney Björn Diemel seemingly having found balance. Having embraced mindfulness, he’s left his high-stress job and is now self-employed, even serving as legal counsel for two rival mafia families-the bosses of which he previously helped disappear. Despite this outward calm, Björn grapples with inner turmoil and a lingering sense of unease. His mindfulness coach, Joschka Breitner, suggests that unresolved childhood issues are at the root of his restlessness. As Björn attempts to confront his past,he faces challenges from overbearing parents,persistent police investigators,and a blackmail scheme.
