Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan paid a familiarization visit to the Armenian Atomic Power Plant on August 19 within the framework of his working visit to Armavir region.
During the visit, the Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of TCE Hakob Vardanyan, Armavir Marz Governor Hambardzum Matevosyan, General Director of NPP CJSC Eduard Martirosyan, Deputy General Director-Director of NPP Movses Vardanyan.
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources made a tour of the nuclear power plant, the turbine workshop, got acquainted with the main technical features and equipment of the NPP, was in the control panel of the power unit, where he got acquainted with the management and security systems of the NPP, followed the work of the staff.
Minister Gnel Sanosyan was particularly presented to Minister Gnel Sanosyan in the engine room of the turbine workshop of the NPP, within the framework of the extension of the operation period of the 2nd power unit of the nuclear power plant and the planned preventive maintenance (PNV-2021, lasting 141 days), systems and equipment to be overhauled and renewed.
The minister of TKE then met with the management staff of the NPP. Thanking the station’s employees for their hard and responsible work, Minister Sanosyan highlighted the serious professional potential and abilities present at the NPP and expressed his belief that at this important stage of the renovations for the modernization of the nuclear power plant, each employee will spare no effort to carry out the work properly and complete it on time. . General Director of NPP Eduard Martirosyan, thanking Minister Sanosyan for his visit, assured that the nuclear plant’s professional specialists will carry out the important tasks in front of them on time and effectively.
Eduard Martirosyan also emphasized that the Armenian nuclear power plant, being the most important strategic institution for the republic and the driving force of the economy, has a great role in ensuring employment in the Armavir marz. At the end of the visit, Minister of Energy, Mineral Resources and Energy, Gnel Sanosyan, emphasizing the importance of the continuity of the institutional memory of the sector, urged the experienced specialists of the ANPP to transfer the knowledge and experience accumulated as a result of their long-term work to their young colleagues.
“Our country is in a difficult reality at this post-war stage, and each of us needs to review our work, approach it in a new way, regardless of how long we have been working in a given position. It is necessary to see what else needs to be done to make our work even more effective, to do more useful work for our state and economy, because a lot depends on the effort invested by each of us,” Gnel Sanosyan added.
