The Prefect announced the results obtained through the provincial tourism technical table.
The Secretary of State held a meeting with the authorities, leaders of the Chamber of Tourism and representatives of social organizations. Olsen, who came to this Province for the first time, presented Prefect Jaime Guevara with the SAFE TRAVELS seal, being the first province to receive this distinction for having implemented biosafety protocols.
The meeting was held in the Electric Company Auditorium, where representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of Pastaza, the Chamber of Tourism, CODESPA and other local tourism actors were also present.
The Prefect announced the results obtained through the provincial tourism technical table, as well as stated about the openness and articulated work carried out with the tourism sector.
The minister congratulated the actions that have been carried out between public institutions and the private sector, of the Prefecture, by disseminating the wealth of this Amazon province and its tourist destinations. Dr. Yuly Sarmiento, president of the Chamber of Tourism, recognized the visit of the Minister and the assistance of the Provincial Prefect. Sarmiento highlighted that the Ministry of Tourism will invest 20 million dollars in promoting Tourism in Ecuador at the national and international level during this year 2022. In addition, he said that efforts are being made to renegotiate the debts of tourism entrepreneurs with the banks, with the purpose of finding an economic respite.
