Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Al-Mubarqa revealed, today, Friday, proactive measures in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers, while confirming the imminent establishment of a large scout camp in Baghdad.
Al-Mubarqa told the program (By the Time of the Barracks) on Al-Iraqiya News Channel, which was followed by the (INA): “The ministry is preparing for the World Cup qualifiers with several logistical measures to prepare the Palm Trunk Stadium for the qualifiers, including an agreement with the Scientific Care Department to prepare programs and films befitting this occasion and preparing the public to receive the teams and their fans in a manner befitting the Iraqi people and their generosity,” calling for “not to submit to what is being circulated on social media by some who use foreign terms that do not represent the Iraqi people or their culture.”
He pointed out that “a message must rise in the stands of the palm trunk to the whole world that Iraq is worthy of hospitality,” indicating that “the ministry has moved to complete some logistical deficiencies in preparation for the qualifiers, especially from the security aspect and to achieve success similar to what was achieved in the 25th Gulf Cup, in addition to other aspects related to hotels and what suits all delegations.”
Regarding the improvement of the situation of youth, Al-Mubarqa said, “A large scout camp will be established near Al-Tajiyat Stadium in Baghdad for youth, aiming to create an ideal environment for youth who depend on themselves and to create a young man capable of working under pressure in all circumstances,” noting that “the ministry obtained approval to include the establishment of this camp in Baghdad.”
He added, “The ministry concluded a few days ago a scout camp in Sulaymaniyah Governorate that included young people from different governorates. It is part of the ministry’s program to care for youth.”
