Thiruvananthapuram∙ Law Minister P. Rajeev shared the stage with Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi. The Tamil Nadu Governor arrived at the Lokayukta Day celebrations in the Legislative Assembly. The sharing of the venue comes amid a heated dispute between the DMK government and the governor. Governor RN Ravi said that the post of governor is not a rubber stamp and it is applicable everywhere in the country. He said that the Governor should not support the weakening of the system like Lokayukta.
At the same time, Minister P. Rajeev said that the government has made all arrangements to take the Lokayukta forward strongly. Opposition leader V.D. said that removal of systems like Lokayukta will lead to massive corruption. Satheesan also clarified on the stage.
