The Ministry of Finance announced the completion of amending the personnel law to create new jobs.
The Ministry of Finance stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “the Legal Department / Public Service Division has completed the twenty-first amendment related to the Staff Law No. 19 of 2024, which includes the creation of new jobs to lift the settlement of a wide segment of employees for the purpose of launching the promotion of those entitled to them who have been settled for years.”
She explained that “the controls that will be issued by the ministry come to facilitate the implementation of the law, and enable promotion committees in ministries, governorates and entities not affiliated with a ministry to promote promotion and advancement transactions for their employees without obstacles.”
It is noteworthy that Law No. 19 of 2024 was published in the Iraqi Gazette No. 4790 issued on August 26, 2024, including the twenty-first amendment to the Personnel Law No. 25 of 1960.
