State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat said that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is working on the law to be formulated in the earliest possible time.
He said this in an exchange meeting with the leaders of Bangladesh Newspaper Employees Federation and Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers in the meeting room of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at the Secretariat on Monday (July 8) afternoon.

The Minister of State said that their opinion is being taken by holding a meeting with the stakeholders related to the media. This act will try to ensure all the protection of labor laws. Under this Act, it will be considered that everyone concerned with the media gets benefits and protection.
The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting expects the active participation and cooperation of relevant stakeholders including the representatives of Bangladesh Newspaper Employees Federation and Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers in the formulation of media workers law.
The state minister said that the government has the responsibility to ensure that the media stands on a solid foundation. The government is also working to ensure that all media related officials and journalists get their fair dues.
He said, ‘With the passage of time, the media is also changing due to the development of technology. Traditional media are facing challenges in some areas. We need to think of practical solutions to overcome this challenge. Innovative ways to solve problems in changing circumstances.’
