Kochi: It has been reported that the second part of the globally acclaimed Tovino Thomas Basil Joseph movie Minnal Murali Second Part will be announced soon. In an interview with an English online media outlet, Sofia Paul, the producer of Minnal Murali, was quoted as saying that the film has a sequel and that the announcement will be made soon. But Sophia Paul denies this.
“The interviewer asked me if there was a second part? I said, ‘I want to, or should I plan for it now?’

In the interview, Minnal only said that he wants to do the second part of Murali. Sophia Paul made it clear that she had not been told that there would be an announcement soon.

They are happy with the acceptance of the film now and jokingly say that there will be two or three parts of the film but no decision has been made about the second part of Minnal Murali. Sofia Paul also said that it will be officially announced if there is a decision or not.

Minnal Murali from Kochu Malayalam has received many accolades including Netflix’s top list and one of the most watched non – English fiction films.
Tovino will play the role of Minnal Murali in the movie directed by Basil Joseph. Tamil actor Guru Somasundaram has also received rave reviews for his portrayal of the protagonist.
