Will Reichard kicked the Vikings to a 16-10 comeback victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Minnesota Vikings stand alone as the NFL’s last undefeated team.
Week seven of the NFL season reshaped the league’s hierarchy. Entering the weekend, the Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, and San Francisco 49ers all carried unblemished records into their respective matchups. By Sunday evening, only the Minnesota Vikings remained without a loss after clawing back to defeat the Indianapolis Colts 16-10 at home.
Vikings Defeat Colts to Stand Alone
The Vikings achieved their 6-0 start despite an offense that has not yet shown its full potential. They rely instead on one of the league’s top defenses and the flawless kicking of Will Reichard, who is yet to miss a kick this season.
Kevin O’Connell’s team faced a deficit before grinding out the victory against Indianapolis. That result pushed their overall winning streak to 11 games when including the end of last season.
The milestone comes during a rare statistical grouping in which the NFC North became one of two divisions sending every team into week eight with a record above 50%.

Minnesota’s roster adjustments earlier in the autumn continue to echo across the league. After signing Kyler Murray as their starting quarterback, the franchise traded J.J. McCarthy four weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the Vikings turn their attention to a divisional road test. They face the Detroit Lions, who secured a 20-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers when Jessie Bates kicked a field goal as time expired.
Chiefs and 49ers Fall to Defending Champions and Falcons
While Minnesota marched forward, the rest of the league’s unbeatens hit roadblocks. The Kansas City Chiefs traveled to Seattle to face the defending champion Seahawks in a primetime showdown that featured the return of Kenneth Walker to his former home.
Walker earned MVP honors in last season’s Super Bowl before joining Kansas City in the off-season. He was limited by Seattle’s defense to 36 yards on 14 carries.
The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 20-3. Seahawks quarterback Jaxon Smith-Njigba recorded 150 receiving yards and a touchdown in a 20-3 victory that dropped Kansas City to 5-1.

In the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers also suffered their first defeat, falling 29-20 to the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons forced four turnovers, including two interceptions thrown by quarterback Brock Purdy, handing the new Super Bowl favorites a 6-1 record.
Bo Nix Sparks Denver Broncos Against Arizona
In the AFC West, the Denver Broncos rebounded to 5-2 by defeating the Arizona Cardinals 30-16. Third-year quarterback Bo Nix answered early-season questions regarding his arm by rushing for a 62-yard touchdown, the longest quarterback run in the NFL since 2022. Nix added 222 passing yards and another touchdown pass, positioning the Broncos directly behind Kansas City as Denver prepares to host the Chiefs next week.
