“Congratulations to Miss Normandy, Miss Champagne-Ardenne and Miss Rhône-Alpes who obtained the best marks in the General Culture test”, tweeted the official Miss France account.
The MCQ was divided into six chapters: current events, French language, history-geography, arts and literature, mathematics and logic, then foreign languages. And this year, a little novelty: a dissertation in English. The MCQ had 37 general culture questions and two English questions. In addition to the questionnaire, the candidates had to complete a translation and a short essay. All on 40 points. This year, this test was written by Frédéric Gilbert, the show’s producer, assisted by the “Grand Quiz” team.
