Urgent Search for Missing Bolívar Resident, José Jacinto López Scott

A desperate search is underway for José Jacinto López Scott, a 77-year-old man last seen in Bolívar state on November 14, 2025. His family is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to his safe return, expressing growing concern due to recent episodes of disorientation.

Family Appeals for Public Assistance

Relatives of López Scott, a resident of the Los Mangos sector in the Caroní municipality, publicly requested citizen collaboration on Monday to locate him. The family has been actively searching the surrounding areas without success, intensifying their worry about his well-being.

Details of the Missing Man

López Scott is described as having dark skin, light eyes, and a prominent forehead. He is known to frequent the areas of Los Mangos, La Churuata, Los Olivos, and Alta Vista. According to family members, he has recently experienced mental blackouts, raising fears that he may be unable to seek assistance or find his way home.

On the day he disappeared, López Scott was last seen wearing black pants and an aqua green long-sleeved shirt.

Search Efforts and Official Response

While the family has already conducted an extensive search of the area, authorities have advised them to exhaust all available resources before initiating an official search procedure involving security forces. Despite this, the lack of any trace of López Scott is fueling anxieties among those close to him.

Community Support and Contact Information

Despite her current absence from the city, López Scott’s daughter expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community. “We are very grateful to the community for all the love and support for my dad at this time,” she stated.

The family is urging anyone with information regarding López Scott’s whereabouts to contact emergency services immediately at 911 or (0414)096.15.80. They emphasize that even the smallest detail could be crucial in bringing him home safely.
