RIYADH: The body of a missing person has been found in the flood caused by heavy rains in Saudi Arabia. The body of a 60-year-old man named Salim Al Bakhami, a Saudi citizen, was found. He went missing during heavy rain in Jeddah.

Salim Al Bakhami went missing last Thursday in a flood in Bahra near Jeddah. His car got swept away in the water. A subsequent search found his car near Wadi Fatima, but Salim Al Bakhami was not found. Security departments, Civil Defence, National Guard, Navy and voluntary service teams were also conducting the search. The dead body was also recovered from Wadi Fatima.

At the same time, civil defense rescued seven people who were affected by rainwater in Madinah’s Zuairkhia. This was announced through Twitter. Their health condition is satisfactory. Last day, different parts of Madinah, including the Haram area, received a good amount of rain.

In some villages of the region, there was heavy flow due to rain. Low-lying areas were flooded. Some roads were also closed as a precaution. Following the warning of climate change, the concerned departments of the region had taken necessary precautions. The Masjidunnabawi office has prepared equipment for pumping water and deputed more people for cleaning. The carpets in the flooded yards were removed.
