Upon arrival, officers discovered 55-year-old Ruo Zhou Wei suffering from gunshot wounds. he was subsequently transported to a local hospital, were he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators allege that four individuals, all wearing masks, forcibly entered the home and confronted the occupants, demanding money and valuables. During the ensuing altercation, Wei was shot. The suspects then fled the scene in a white Volkswagen Atlas.
Extensive Investigation Leads to Arrests
The investigation, described by authorities as “complex and lengthy,” spanned over 80 kilometers, requiring numerous judicial authorizations and extensive forensic analysis. Ultimately, these efforts led to the identification of seven suspects.
Three men – sonam Wangchuk, 25, Muhammad Rahimullah, 21, and Tenzin Lama, 21 – have been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder using a firearm. Kang Lu, 69, Kwok Chik, 65, and Xi Chen, 64, face charges of manslaughter in connection with the incident. A seventh suspect, Tenzin Jungney, 21, is charged with several firearm-related offenses.
