Police conducted a background check on the actor, which revealed he had multiple outstanding warrants
The star of the TV series «Hannah Montana» Mitchel Musso was arrested on Saturday 26 August in a hotel in Rockwell, Texas for theft and for «manifest drunkenness in a public place». The 32-year-old stole a bag of chips: Musso entered a hotel, took a pack of the snack and started eating it. When asked to pay for the fries, the actor reportedly refused and became verbally abusive.
The police intervened, who carried out a background check on Musso, which revealed that the actor had several pending charges. The young man spent the night in jail but was released Sunday on $1,000 bail. The plaintiff must also answer the charges of expired license plate, failure to produce a driver’s license and violation of the “promise to appear” notice. Musso was previously arrested for drunk driving in Burbank, California, in 2011. For that offense he was fined, sentenced to 36 months of informal probation and required to attend alcohol education classes.
The US sitcom «Hannah Montana», which aired for four seasons between 2006 and 2011, followed the story of a teenager who lived a double life as a famous pop star. It stars Miley Cyrus, who went on to have a successful solo career, alongside her real-life father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. Since the show ended, Musso has voiced a character in another Disney series, Milo Murphy’s Law, and has appeared in the films Sins of our Youth and The Sand.
