by time news

In the past, Mitsubishi has announced a series of new models that will be produced in the next few years. Not stopping there, Mitsubishi has also announced an electric concept car called Moonstone. The special thing is that New Mitsubishi Moonstone SUV is the work of students from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Italy.Moonstone is designed based on Mitsubishi’s criteria, which is to design an SUV for 2035, using fuel and environmentally friendly materials, with both good performance and full technology. . More than 17 designs have been created and Mitsubishi chooses Moonstone to build into a concept car.Moonstone designed a two-door coupe hybrid SUV with a compact design, large ground clearance, optimized aerodynamic design and many Mitsubishi features. The front end has LED headlights with a design that reminds us of the Mitsubishi XFC Concept launched in Vietnam last year while the sensors, camera, and LiDAR are mounted on the bonnet. The two sides of the car have cameras installed instead of rearview mirrors, similar to the Mitsubishi XFC Concept. The shape of this concept car is meticulously crafted, the tires are quite large and use recycled plastic materials. The front windshield has a high slope and the same black color as the A-pillar as well as the side windows, creating a seamless look. The rear end has Y-shaped LED lights with a ducktail spoiler and a roof spoiler. Overall, Moonstone is like the reincarnation of the Mitsubishi Eclipse sports car. This model has many similarities with the first Mitsubishi Eclipse, not the Eclipse Cross small SUV currently sold in many markets.Currently IED does not provide information about the engine of Mitsubishi Moonstone. Just know, the car uses an electric motor and offers incredible performance. The appearance of Mitsubishi Moonstone was created by 18 international students who are participating in the Master Course in Transport Design 2021/2022 at IED Torino. The team of designers also received support from Mitsubishi and help from technical sponsors such as Pirelli, OZ Racing or Lechler. Meanwhile, the life-size concept car was built by Freeland.car, MINTT, AM Contruzione Modellli and Raitec.Like all other concept cars ever created by IED, Brand new Mitsubishi Moonstone will not be produced commercially, but only for research purposes.Video: Introducing the all-new Mitsubishi Moonstone Concept SUV.
