Mixed marriage: Congress delegation to visit Joyce’s house | Congress

by time news

Kozhikode: The Congress team may visit the house of the bride Joyce Joseph, who fell in love and got married in Kodancherry today. He had decided to visit the house last day but postponed it at the last minute.

The district administration said that no final decision has been taken in this regard. The Congress is of the view that the CPM is creating communal divisions in the region. There are also plans to hold a public meeting in response to the CPM’s political explanatory meeting.

Shejin, a DYFI regional secretary from a Muslim family, and Joyce, a member of a Christian family, fell in love and got married yesterday. The court allowed the two to go their own way.

But George M. Thomas, a former MLA and member of the district secretariat, said the marriage had sparked rivalry between communities. With this the CPM rectified this. The party explained that George’s position was a slip of the tongue.
