Briton Mo Farah put an end to his incredible career on Sunday September 10 during the Newcastle half-marathon, in the north of England. A race concluded with an anecdotal fourth place (1h3’28) in the city where he had chosen to bow out. At 40, the four-time Olympic champion over 5,000 and 10,000 meters bowed out five months after a final appearance at the London marathon. Farah was cheered on by his crowded supporters along a race he won six times. The British athlete of Somali origin twice achieved the 5,000 and 10,000 meter double at the Games in London, at home in 2012, then in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. He was also six times world champion over these distances.
