Mobile Internet (4G) service has been started after being closed for 10 consecutive days. It is reported that customers can use the internet on their mobile phones around 3 pm today, Sunday (July 28).

State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak announced the launch of the Internet after a meeting with mobile operators at BTRC Bhavan around 11 am today.

The state minister said that customers will get 5 GB bonus for three days after the internet starts at around 3 pm. Customers of all operators will get this facility.

Facebook-TikTok is closed
Stating that a letter has been sent to Facebook-TikTok and other social media, the state minister said that Facebook-TikTok will remain closed for the time being. They will be discussed soon.

Earlier, limited broadband internet connection was restored on Tuesday (July 23) night after all internet services were suspended for five consecutive days. Home broadband internet services are continuously launched in the capital.

Initially, the speed of the Internet was quite slow, but the return of broadband connection brought relief to various professionals including freelancers, businessmen and general users.

Apart from this, the return of internet has also started to have a positive effect on the export oriented sectors including the ready-made garment industry which has been affected by the continuous curfew. Due to lack of internet, export oriented companies face problems in maintaining communication with their foreign customers. Broadband connection returns so much relief to these institutions.
