Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Hyderabad as ‘Bhagyanagar’. Modi’s remarks were made at a rally held in conjunction with the BJP National Executive Committee meeting in Hyderabad. Last year, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had demanded that Hyderabad be renamed as Bhagyanagar during the Hyderabad municipal election campaign. RSS has not yet raised this issue officially. In the meantime, the Prime Minister has come to the scene by describing himself as such.

At the rally, Modi said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel laid the foundation for the concept of one India and BJP has the responsibility to take it forward. Modi congratulated the BJP workers in the states of Bengal, Kerala and Telangana. BJP workers in these states are attacked and killed. Modi said that he appreciates the workers of these states who are working despite the challenges.

Modi lashed out at Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao and the Congress. He said it is time to end family rule and youths do not encourage family rule politics.

People are fed up with family rule in politics. Such parties don’t last long anymore. The party that has ruled India for years is struggling for survival. “We should not mock them but learn from their mistakes,” Modi said.
