“Freedom of Expression” Review Returns to Mogoro, Sardinia

Mogoro, Sardinia, 2026-01-30 – A new edition of the “Freedom of expression” review will return to Mogoro, Sardinia, offering a diverse program of theatrical performances and music from January 31 to March 29, 2026.

The 21st edition of the “Freedom of Expression” review, organized by Teatro Tragodia, will take place at the La Fabbrica delle Gazzose Theater.

  • All performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. at the La Fabbrica delle Gazzose Theater in Mogoro.

The “Freedom of Expression” review, organized by Teatro Tragodia with artistic direction by Virginia Garau, will take place entirely at via Gramsci 33 in Mogoro, according to organizers.

The Program

The review opens on Saturday, january 31, with Teatro Instabile’s “Foibe. Stories of an Exodus,” a narrative concert created and performed by Marta Proietti Orzella, accompanied by Daniele Porta, which gives voice to the story of a young Julian exile.

The following week, on sunday, February 8, Quinte Emotive will present “The Thread of theseus,” a play by Fabrizio carta and directed by Andrea Serra, focusing on family ties. Bocheteatro will then take the stage on Sunday, February 15, with “I grew up in Babel,” written and performed by Giovanni Carroni and inspired by Sergio atzeni’s novel, “The fifth step is farewell.”

La Maschera company will perform “Filastarocca” on Sunday, February 22, a play written and directed by Daniele Pettinau, where theatrical elements draw from music, folklore, and tarot symbolism. Theandric’s show,”From fire to disarmament: giovanna’s journey,” written by Cleo Perez and directed by Virginia Siriu,will be dedicated to Joan of Arc on Sunday,march 8.

On March 15,the Dallarmario Theater will present “Market,oh my,” a new version of “My mother and other catastrophes” by Fabio Marcedo and Antonello Murgia,incorporating Sardinian linguistic and musical elements. Il Crogiuolo will host “Samuel su ‘r bandiu” on Sunday, March 22, dedicated to the figure of Samuele Stochino, a notorious Sardinian bandit, with text and direction by Bepi Vigna.
