Liverpool succeeded in cutting the ribbon of goals in its match against Manchester United, today, Sunday, at Old Trafford Stadium, in the third round of the English Premier League.
The guests waited until the 35th minute to score the lead goal from a perfect cross sent by Mohamed Salah, which was met by Luis Diaz with a header into the net, before the duo cooperated about 7 minutes later to score the second goal through the Colombian as well. In the second half, Mohamed Salah managed to score Liverpool’s third goal.
According to Opta, Salah has contributed to 18 goals against Manchester United in the Premier League, more than any other player in history.
This came after the Egyptian international raised his number of assists against the Red Devils to 6, in addition to 12 goals he scored himself.
ESPN reported that Mohamed Salah scored at Old Trafford for the seventh consecutive match.
Salah became the first player to score 15 goals for Manchester United in an official tournament, since Jimmy Greaves in 1968.
