Molly Sims’ Sleep Secrets: Look Refreshed Even When You’re Tired

LOS ANGELES, February 29, 2024 — Model Molly Sims, 52, swears by a multi-step routine to look rested, even on nights when sleep is scarce, and it all starts with prioritizing self-care and a strategic skincare approach.

A Sleep-Deprived Mom’s Glow-Up Guide

The actress and entrepreneur shares her secrets for looking bright-eyed, from essential oils to a “10 hours of sleep in a tube.”

  • Sims relies on Saje Wellness essential oils and supplements like Moon Juice magnesium to unwind before bed.
  • Her skincare routine centers around her YSE Beauty line, focusing on correcting dark spots and protecting the skin barrier.
  • A busy family schedule and a brightening eye cream help her power through mornings.
  • Hydration is key, with a custom “Dria Water” providing sustained energy throughout the day.

“On a good night I get maybe 6 or so hours of sleep, but usually it’s somewhere between not enough and barely made it,” Sims admitted. Despite the challenges of balancing work and family life with husband Scott Stuber, 57, and their three children—sons Brooks and Grey, and daughter Scarlett—Sims maintains a radiant complexion.

To prepare for sleep, the Lipstick on the Rim podcast host begins with aromatherapy. “I usually start with my Saje Wellness essential oils to help center myself. The Stress Relief and Peppermint Halo are my go-tos. I also rotate between taking Moon Juice’s magnesium and Sakara Night Service to help me wind down,” she revealed.

Next comes skincare, with a focus on products from her YSE Beauty line. “The Problem Solver is a gentle, yet effective correcting cream that helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and discoloration,” Sims explained. “I always finish with our Xtremely Rich Moisturizer because protecting your skin barrier while you sleep is key.”

Mornings are fueled by her children’s busy schedules. “I just look at my kids’ calendar and that alone is a shot of adrenaline. Between school events, birthday parties, practices, and tournaments, their schedules are packed. One glance and I’m immediately reminded, ‘You’re not allowed to be tired’,” she said with a laugh.

To combat any visible signs of fatigue, Sims turns to the Wide Awake eye cream in Sheer Peach and Sheer Honey. “It instantly brightens and depuffs, while quietly working in the background to improve your skin over time. … I’ll gladly take 10 hours of sleep in a tube. … It’s almost as exciting as that first cup of coffee, and I always have it in my purse for SOS moments when I need an espresso shot to the eye.”

Sims’s glow-up doesn’t stop there. She incorporates the Your Favorite Ex Pads, the Morning Cocktail Vitamin C Serum, and the Skin Glow into her routine before a workout.

“I try to move my body most days. I do 12-3-30, and lately I’m all about lifting weights and strength training. If I can sneak in a cold plunge and sauna, even better. Those mornings feel like a dream,” she shared.

To stay energized throughout the day, Sims relies on a special concoction. “Every morning, I make what I call Dria Water, a mixed drink of creatine, Vitamin C, colostrum, and electrolytes. I adopted it from my friend Dria Murphy, and it keeps me going all day.”
