Russian international midfielder Alexander Golovin has extended his contract with Monaco until 2029, according to the French football club’s website.
The French club wrote on its account on the “X” platform: “Monaco is pleased to announce the extension of Alexander Golovin’s contract for an additional three seasons. The Russian international is now linked to the club until June 2029.”
For his part, Golovin told the French club’s website after signing the new contract: “I am very happy to extend the contract. The club has given me confidence and I will continue to give everything I have for Monaco.”
He added: “I am confident that together we will continue to achieve great success.”
Golovin has been playing with Monaco since 2018, and participated with the team in 209 matches, scoring 31 goals and providing 39 assists.
The 28-year-old previously played in Russia with the capital team CSKA Moscow.
At international level, Golovin scored six goals in 47 matches for the Russian national team.
