About 100 migrants were hospitalized from the Bruzgi logistics center on the Belarusian-Polish border, including a patient with a severe form of coronavirus. This was announced by the head of the Main Department of Health of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Lyudmila Keda.

“We carry patients to Grodno. The main clinics are the Emergency Hospital and the University Hospital. Children are sent to the children’s clinical hospital, pregnant women – to the perinatal center. To date, about 100 people have been taken away, ”said Ms. Keda to the WHO delegation that had arrived at the center (quoted by RIA Novosti).

Most often, according to her, patients with pneumonia, diseases of the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, injuries received at the border are hospitalized. “Some of the people were taken away with hypothermia and colds, including pneumonia. There is one patient in serious condition with pneumonia caused by the coronavirus, ”added Lyudmila Keda.

The migration crisis on the Belarusian-Polish border escalated in November. Several thousand refugees have accumulated there, striving to enter the EU through Belarusian territory. This week refugees have already tried to storm the Polish border several times, the military used water cannons and tear gas against them. Western countries believe that this situation was deliberately created by Minsk. Some also blame Russia.
