“Whether it is a question of its global relations with many states of the planet, or its positioning on the African continent, Morocco is now recognized and sought after as an enlightened leader, attentive to its partners and acting in a credible manner,” said Mr. Heydt in a statement to MAP on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of HM King Mohammed VI.
He indicated that the Kingdom is actively involved in promoting peace and security on the African continent, by regularly participating in peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the United Nations, where the Royal Armed Forces are deployed in several conflict zones in Africa.
This is how Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, is investing in regional and international peace and security, drawing on its experience and aware of the scale of security issues in Africa, sparing no effort to contribute to laying new, solid and lasting foundations for a stable, prosperous and united Africa, he said.
Morocco therefore plays a crucial role as a regional stabilizer in Africa through several axes of its foreign diplomacy and cooperation, Mr. Heydt specified.
From an international point of view, the recognition of the quality and assets that Morocco represents, by the great powers of the planet, is the result of the Royal Vision implemented “with great care and realism”, he added.
Morocco, an effective global player, is recognized for having the capacity to play a role as a regional stabilizer through peace, security, economic development and diplomatic cooperation initiatives, supported by a long-term strategic vision, both for a stable and prosperous Africa but also more broadly for lasting world peace, Mr. Heydt argued.
