Jane Birkin died at the age of 76. The singer and actress was found dead in her Parisian home. Birkin had recently canceled a series of concerts for health reasons.
Born in London in 1946, she moved to France in the late 1960s. After marrying composer John Barry, with whom she had a daughter, Kate, who died in 2013, she met Serge Gainsbourg. The two artists became an iconic couple of the seventies, and together they reached the top of the hit parades in 1969 with the song “Je t’aime… moi non plus”.
